Hi there, for those wondering why they cant use a multitexture with normal polysetting:
HERE IS A GUIDE TO INFORM YOU ABOUT
USING MULTITEXTURES!Summary:1) What is a multitexture?
2) Where can I differentiate multitextures from normals?
3) Step-by-Step-Learning
4) A final map
1) What is a multitexture?A multitexture is nothing more than a normal texture with different structures, there can be a structure of earth, grass, lava and
more than someone could ever dream off
They are usefull to make a map more beautiful, the themes you can make with
multitextures are just great, and it is more easy than you imagined
2) Where can I differentiate multitextures from normals? The biggest point is, that a multitexture has different themes, a normal texture has just one theme! You can make one area of stone
flowing into an area of sand ... grass ... earth ... what you want! They are more huge than the normals and because of that most of them are
saved as pngs (better compressingrate). Multitextures can be made with Paint by putting an other texture under a first one or with
Rainriders TextureMerger (impressive programme for free, I´ll come back to that later when I´ve got time to upload it), where one texture
flows into an other!
3) The Step-by-Step-Learning: Multitextures1) First you have to start Soldat Polyworks by Anna and turn on the Grid.
2) You now have to turn off fixed texture
3) Then choose a multitexture in the MapSettings-window
4) Make some Polys like you see on the Screen below, make squares, they are easier to set in rows.
5) Now copy the parts you want to have (JUST the ones you want to have!) and put them in rows, you can make every figure you want to do!
6) After setting all polygons the way you want them you can start stretching them, you have to differentiate between skin-deep for changing gameplay and
figure, stretching the polygons inside the figures will make it better looking.
7) Afterwards you can do the scenery, I did here a little 1v1 castlestyled map
